Bret leads Jungle Disk as the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the Board. Prior to Jungle Disk, he led a $100M+ annual revenue, 300 person SaaS business unit for Rackspace serving over 75,000 small businesses. His experience at Rackspace also included time as the mergers and acquisitions lead, chair of the Intellectual Property Committee, and as a member of the core team that released the Rackspace Cloud as open-source software creating OpenStack. Before Rackspace, Bret spent over 5 years in product management and engineering roles for AT&T including post-merger integration of the AT&T global managed firewall service moving it from Challengers to Leaders in the Gartner MSSP Magic Quadrant report.

TRACK RECORD

Bret successfully transformed Jungle Disk over 5 years including 15% improvement to gross margins, raising Net Promoter Scores from 4 to 44, delivering EBITDA + Growth average of 46%, built a team with 95% employee engagement. He also led M&A activities at Rackspace in 2013, responsible for adding new lines of business which would drive 70% of the growth by 1H 2015. In addition, he also led spinoff activities with Credit Suisse to realize returns on 4 lines of business in a restructure process. As a product leader for the internet security equipment business at AT&T Bret implemented a multi-vendor strategy doubling annual revenue and increasing margins by 80% in under two years.
